Adventurers believe in the policy of living and let live. This was quite evident
when Shrenik took the opportunity of becoming a volunteer to serve Crocodiles in
Botswana in the year 2003.
Earthwatch and National Geographic started a volunteering programme to save
the crocodiles in Botswana. In early 1970, 70,000 crocodiles were hunted for leather
endangering their habitat.
The government in Botswana banned shooting crocodiles. In
water, crocodiles are considered as the top of the food chain.
The health of the habitat is determined by their population.
Shrenik along with his wife volunteered for the project and
paid to be a volunteer. Both of them were assigned the task to
go out with the teams to take measurements and the blood
samples of crocodiles.
This was more than just an adventure trip.
According to Shrenik, it was more about serving the animal.
